More is unknown than is understood. We all know what proportion of Dark Energy there's because we all know how it affects the universe's expansion. Aside from that, it's an entire mystery. But it's a crucial mystery. It seems that roughly 68% of the universe is Dark Energy. One explanation for dark energy is that it's a property of space.
